Information about the Recreation Department

The Recreation Department, provides organized recreational activities for all residents. Details of programs are published in the Park News, the Recreation Department Facebook page, and the schools distribute flyers at the appropriate times.

TOWNSHIP RECREATION ADULT ART SERIES: "CRAFTY CREATIONS"

The Township Recreation Department "Crafty Creations" adult art series will allow residents to tap into their creative side. Check back on the Township's website or on the South Park Township Recreation Facebook page about a week before each class for the link to sign up. Pricing will range from $10-$20. Classes will be held from 7:30 p.m. to 9:00 p.m. in the Board Room of the Township Administration Building, unless otherwise noted. REGISTRATION IS REQUIRED, and registrants must be South Park Township residents.

SOUTH PARK TOWNSHIP RECREATION LITTLE DRIBBLERS PROGRAM
Registration is now open for South Park Township Recreation Department's Little Dribblers program. The program is limited to the first 50 participants.

South Park Township Recreation will once again be offering Little Dribblers for children in kindergarten, 1st, and 2nd grades. Little Dribblers will give the smallest students in our Township the ability to learn basketball fundamentals, including age-appropriate drills like dribbling, passing, and shooting. This program will be led by South Park High School basketball coaches Matt Loftis and Chad Pappasergi, along with varsity high school players. This co-ed program will begin on Monday, April 15th after South Park Elementary Center dismissal until 5 p.m. It will also run on Mondays, April 22nd, April 29th, and May 6th. The cost is $25 per player and each player will be given a basketball and certificate of completion that they can take home on the final day of the program. Parent Watch Day will be on the final day of the program, Monday, May 6th at 4:30 p.m. Children will be dismissed from their homerooms after school to the Elementary Center gymnasium. Children will need to be picked up from the front of the school at 5 p.m.

2024 SOUTH PARK TOWNSHIP COMMUNITY DAY

South Park Township's "Party In The Park" will rock this year's annual Community Day celebration on Saturday, September 21, 2024.

To reserve a space at Community Day, please fill out the online form and pay the non-refundable fee by clicking here. Sign up early to secure your exhibit booth space, as gegistration prices will go up on May 1, 2024 and applications are accepted on a first-come, first-served basis.

The annual South Park Township Community Day takes place at the South Park Fairgrounds on the third Saturday of September and consists of a parade, food, vendors, games, and entertainment. Visit the Community Day page here to learn more about the Township's upcoming Community Day activities.
